Terms of Service

1. The service

Demographics Online sells on-demand demographic catchment reports. You choose a location and catchment, we assemble a report from third-party demographic datasets, and we charge credits from your balance for each completed report.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are for a single organisation; do not share logins with third parties outside your organisation.

3. Credits and payment

• Credits are purchased in advance and are consumed when a report is generated.
• Prices are shown in your account currency at checkout. Applicable taxes (including Australian GST on domestic sales) are calculated and shown at checkout, and a tax invoice is issued for every purchase.
• Credits do not expire while your account is open and have no cash value.
• If a report fails or returns incomplete data, the charge is refunded or pro-rated automatically — see our Refund Policy.

4. Data and licence

Report data is licensed from third-party demographic data providers. We grant you a non-exclusive licence to use report outputs internally and in client deliverables produced by your organisation. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish raw datasets, or use them to build a competing demographic data product.

5. Accuracy

Demographic data is modelled and estimated. Reports are provided for planning purposes and without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You should not rely on a report as the sole basis for a material commercial decision.

6. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it in bulk, reverse-engineer our APIs, use it unlawfully, or use it to make decisions that unlawfully discriminate against individuals or groups.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used fraudulently. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@demographicsonline.com.au. Unused credits at closure are refundable in line with our Refund Policy.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
